Kevin A. Eike joined the Aldrich Eike firm in September of 2006 and became an owner in 2011. Kevin has litigated more than $150 Million worth of construction defect claims over the past decade, ranging from small claims related to single family homes, to large claims involving Home Owners Associations, Apartment Complexes, Condominiums, Townhomes, Hotels, and Commercial Buildings. He also maintains an active practice representing Home Owners Associations as general counsel and representing select developers and contractors in their transactional work.
Although Kevin primarily specializes in real estate matters, construction defect litigation, contract law, and Home Owners Association matters, he has acted as an attorney in matters ranging from prosecution of crimes as a deputy district attorney, to defending civil assault cases, to representing an Oregon Sleep Medical Clinic in a labor dispute with one of its practicing physicians. He also has substantial experience in asbestos cases, personal injury matters, and professional malpractice claims.
Mr. Eike is an active member and speaker with Community Associations Institute (CAI), and Oregon Washington Community Association Managers (OWCAM). He is a member of American Bar Association (ABA), and the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA). He is also a Certified Mediator. Mr. Eike is recognized as pre-eminent in construction litigation, and has reached the height of professional excellence and the highest levels of skill and integrity.
For five years prior to joining Aldrich Eike, Kevin was a litigator at a prestigious insurance defense firm where he concentrated his practice on defending contractors, engineers, architects, attorneys, and other professionals. In addition to this commercial litigation experience, Kevin was deputized as a Lancaster County District Attorney in his final year of law school through the Clinical Practice program at the University of Nebraska. Clerkships at both the Nebraska Office of the Attorney General and a premier corporate law firm in Omaha are also aspects of Kevin’s well-rounded legal background.
Prior to receiving his Juris Doctor, with honors, and Litigation Skills Track Certificate—not to mention two Cali Excellence Awards for attaining the highest grade in each class—Kevin earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, from Iowa State University. While at Iowa State, Kevin took a year and a half of construction engineering curriculum, providing him with a strong working knowledge of construction.
After hours, Kevin is an avid snowboarder and competed in the United States National Championships for Boarder Cross in 2005. This particular tourney pitted him against Olympians from over twelve countries and other professional snowboarders. Kevin also enjoys golf, ice hockey, wakeboarding, mountain biking, and numerous other extreme sports. These days, Kevin enjoys spending time with his toddler son, wife, and their dog.
